The New Light

James Tynion IV commissioned me to write and draw this short comic, to be published in the first issue of Red Book from Dark Horse Comics. The New Light tells the true story of Jemima Wilkinson, a young Quaker woman in Rhode Island during the American Revolutionary War, and the circumstances leading to her claimed transformation into a genderless being known as the Public Universal Friend. I had the pleasure of conducting thorough research on the subject: reading through primary documents, secondary literature, and interviewing experts. Xenia

Xenia will appear in an upcoming issue of the legendary French science fiction anthology Métal Hurlant. The editor requested an absurd, surreal meditation on the subject of post-singularity bodies and virtual reality. I wrote, drew, and lettered this piece.

Ancestor

Co-written and co-drawn with Matt Sheean, Ancestor is a four part series for Image Comics. Named one of the best comics of the year, it tells the thrilling sci-fi tale of an anxiety-plagued artist and his fateful visit to the compound of a reclusive tech entrepreneur on the night he and his devoted followers plan to change humanity forever.
